Truth Dreams and What Leads to Infidelity?

Have you ever woken up from a dream and felt unsettled? You are embarrassed and think the dream is trying to tell you something. What’s the truth behind that dream? So you push the thoughts the dream conjured up way deep down inside.  That way you won’t see or think or know that those thoughts exist at all.

Dreams are a way for us to discover some truths about ourselves. Truth is like the sun; you can shut it out for a time but it ain’t going away.

We can’t handle the truth

The truth impacts all of us and creates great suffering to come to grips with it. People struggle in relationships. We can be unsettled and continue to push the truth about that relationship deep down inside. Just as Jack Nicholson says here in the film, A Few Good Men:

In romantic relationships, people are struggling. Infidelity, where does it begin? A woman known to be infuriating brash and head strong knows the truth. She doesn’t want to face it. The truth can be a melody, which she keeps playing over and over in her mind.

Ear worms you call them.  Those songs you get in your head and you just can’t get rid of them. You can distract yourself and turn the music up really loud. One does everything it takes to avoid seeing what’s right in front of them.  A great relationship but it may have serious flaws. Instead of addressing those flaws, the affair begins.

The Truth Will Come Out

We don’t want to address the flaws in that relationship. It’s so much easier to live in denial. We do it to protect ourselves from the things we don’t want to acknowledge. But if we don’t acknowledge it, then we are just living a lie. Winston Churchill said, “The truth is incontrovertible; malice may attack if ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.” The truth will eventually come out and don’t waste more seconds, minutes, months and years of your life living in denial.

Have the courage to speak the truth. Our Universe, our spiritual therapist, will consistently remind you of the truth if you ignore it. It’s one of the things I love about God and the Universe. Think active. You don’t move and nothing moves. If we create distractions, we delay our own best life and create pain to ourselves and others..

Revealing truth is like lighting a match. It can bring light, help you see more clearly, or it can set your world on fire……
